The Etherfist by SteamViking The Etherfist by SteamViking
If you would like to have a gauntlet like this they are available on Etsy! [link]

I made this gauntlet as a personal project for the Steam and Cinders Winter Feast tech contest. The hand and wrist are articulated allowing me to retain my full range of motion. The purple sections are translucent and will have LEDs added to them in the near future causing them to glow an eerie dim purple.

Now that this gauntlet is done I am thinking it is time to start making more gauntlets with hand coverage and maybe start working towards articulated fingers.

The bracer is made from 8 oz veg tanned leather, sheet brass, brass rivets, brass studs, ecoflo dyes and finishing products.

Also! You should visit me on Facebook! [link]

And on Etsy too! [link]

Nice work, I'm sad the leather supplier near me closed shop just as I was starting to get into leathercraft.

There aren't any leather suppliers anywhere near me, so i generally ask the local thrift/second-hand stores if they have any leather items going cheap or even going to throw out. They've been very helpful thus far with that.
Another alternative is to keep an eye out for leather furniture getting thrown out, and ask the owners if they mind you taking some of the leather.
The latter method got me an entire couch-worth of dull-green leather between 3-5mm thick.

Or if you don't mind spending shipping costs, you could look on eBay or Etsy.

Hope some of that is helpful to you. ^^
Regards, a fellow novice leatherworker

If you're capable of this, i believe you could make some fantastic articulated fingers.
Keep up the good work!
